Obituary of Patti McFarlane
It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Patricia Lynn Dorothy ( Firlotte) McFarlane on Saturday, February 20th, 2021. She was peacefully released from pain surrounded by her loved ones in St. Stephen, NB. She is the daughter of Florence (Niblock) Firlotte and the late Clement Andrew Firlotte.
She was born in Hamilton, Ontario then in her early years moved to St. Stephen, NB where she was raised in her family home in St. David Ridge. Shortly after the birth of her first born she moved to Toronto, Ontario where she spent the next 15 years of her life before she decided to move back to her home town in St. Stephen.
She is survived by her son Robert McFarlane of St. Stephen, NB and her 3 daughters Jessica McFarlane (Greg) of St. Stephen, NB, Kaitlyn Ross (Gage) of St. Stephen, NB and Dannielle McNeil (Darren) of St.Stephen, NB, her 4 Grand Children Quinton, Conor, Callie and Bronwyn who she loved very much. Her siblings Danny (Kristy) Firlotte of Fredericton, NB, Debbie (Jay) Firlotte-Rolfe of Fredericton, NB, Joanna (Hector) Aubertin of St. Stephen, NB, Lloyd (Connie) Firlotte of St. Stephen, NB, her late brother John Firlotte and her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In Patricia’s earlier years, she worked many jobs. She had a true passion for children and started her career working in day cares, driving school bus and fostering children in her home. She later went back to school for Human services and had several jobs working with the elderly, supply teaching locally and many others.
On her spare time she absolutely adored spending time with her children and grandchildren, they were the light of her life. Being a mother and grandmother was everything she wanted to be.
She loved volunteering her time to the SPCA, as she loved all the kitties so much. She also loved to read endlessly.
She was a selfless, fearless and brave woman, A TRUE WARRIOR. She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday February 23rd at 2:00pm from the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110).
Due to the circumstances surrounding the COVID – 19 Pandemic seating will be limited to 25 family members. Friends will be welcomed to attend her celebration of life through a virtual broadcast by clicking on the link below or copy and pasting this link to your browser.
