Norma I have watched in awe the ongoing guidance , the unconditional love and respect you have taught and given to your family. As a young Nurse I have the wonderful opportunity to listen to your countless stories & scenarios regarding your long career and how you had gracefully/ diplomatically and professionally handled it all. This has left me, always amused( you have the best sense of humour), well taught and inspired to be better at my career and generally a better person. Your presence in my life has made me better..I thank you for always willing to chat and your family for allowing me to share you. We are better because of you❤

To Norma's Family, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. Norma was our mother Connie Smith next door neighbor at Sea Street and table partners in the dining room. When we were able to visit it was a real pleasure to talk to Norma. When Mum arrived at Sea Street, Norma was the first person to greet her and they bonded like lifelong friends.Mum is missing her dear friend.

Your Mom helped deliver me at CCH in 1963 and she was really nice to my Mom. They were so impressed with her, they named me after her. I'm so sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. Just thought you would like to know this.

My father Gerald was Aunt Norma's oldest brother, born 6 years earlier at the same house in Stickney. Our family lived just across the dooryard from my grandparents, George and Lottie Hunter. It was always so exciting for us when the Webers' came to visit Grammy and Grampy.
Older cousins Peter and Nancy played with us and I can remember Nancy teaching me my abc's and numbers before I went to Grade 1!
Uncle George always was smiling and such a great story teller. And Aunt Norma was the apple of my Grammie Hunter's eye. She was so proud of Norma and her career as the head OR nurse at the St Stephen Hospital.
My first overnight visit I can remember was when Grammie and Grampy took me with them to St Stephen for a weekend visit. I remember Peter taking me out on the handlebars of his bicycle and we met up with his friends. Can you imagine how exciting that was for a 6 year old who had never been anywhere away from home!
Aunt Norma was an inspiration to many. A few years ago in my job as National Sales manager for Philips Lifeline Healthcare, I had the opportunity to work with our NB sales rep, and as part of our day we visited the St Stephen Hospital. As we were talking with a nurse I happened to mention my Aunt Norma used to be a nurse here. Even though she was a relatively young nurse, she immediately recognized the name, and took me down the hall and showed me a picture of her. I think this shows how Aunt Norma's work and dedication has inspired so many.
I know that she inspired me. She had the courage to move away in order to learn, and she made such a positive difference in the lives of so many! Rest easy in Heaven Aunt Norma, and I know you are.
