Obituary of Lillian Ethel Boyd
Lillian Ethel (Zwicker) Boyd 80, of Hampton, originally of White Head Island , NB, went to be with her Lord and Saviour. She passed away peacefully on March 2nd, 2024 at the Grand Manan Hospital.
Lillian was born on January 31st, 1944 the daughter of the late Austin and Florence (Tracartin) Zwicker.
Lillian was a dedicated wife, sister , daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Despite her own medical trials of greater than 50 years she had a solid faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and always strove to coach, comfort and encourage those she came in contact with. Lillian was a stay at home mom but often taught Sunday school , ladies bible studies and lady students of the New Brunswick Bible Institute how to serve her Lord in ministries.
John was her husband, best friend and the love of her life. They were inseparable and made many memories over the years, spending time traveling, at the family camp down on White Head Island and serving together in various ministries. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her crown and she often spoke of their accomplishments and only wanted the best for them. She was the great comforter for her family and always put them first. She will be deeply missed by her friend and husband of 58 years, John Boyd; her cherished children, Jamie Boyd (Karen) of Rothesay, NH; Nathan Boyd (Catherine) of Wilton, New Hampshire, USA, and Jennifer Shaw (Michael) of White Head Island; Her treasured grandchildren, Kyle , Rebecca (Caleb), Kailey , Cody , Caleb , Rachael (Liam), Jeremy , Abby, Janie - Lynn (Isaac),Isaac (Emma), Ally (Jarren); Sister Arlene Cram of Gorham ME, and Dorthy Daggett (Blaine) of White Head Island NB. She will also be missed by several nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital 4C North as well as the Grand Manan Hospital, for their tremendous care, compassion and help with Lillian’s final journey home.
Visitation will be held on Friday March 8, 2024, from 5:30-8:00 PM at the White Head Baptist Church (419 White Head Rd, White Head, NB E5G 2K1), Funeral Service to be held the following day Saturday March 9, 2024, at 2:15 PM also at the White Head Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Shaw officiating. Interment to take place later in the spring at the White Head Cemetery.
For those who wish flower arrangements can be ordered from Joanne's Garden Center and Cut Flowers, 506-662-8898 or donations can be made to the White Head Baptist Church or the New Brunswick Bible Institute.
