Matthew, Krista and Family,
Sincere condolences to you and your family on the passing of Buster. Buster and June were wonderful neighbors to have when we were posted to Campobello. Other than those first few days after he brought the weir nets home. LOL
Thoughts and prayers,
Heather and Jonathan Nagy.

Our sympathies to Buster’s family. As our father’s (Roy and Buster) spent many hours fishing together, Dad in the Senator Neil chasing your Dad in his seiner finding the fish to be carried to the factory, many stories of their daughters were exchanged. Buster’s wife and daughters were familiar names and successes became familiar to us as the two men spent their time tied up side by side waiting to go fish and talking about their families. After they retired, they continued keeping up on each other’s families through phone conversations. Thoughts and prayers are with you as your mourn his loss and cherish the memories. Linda (Hurley) Stuart and family

Reid and I were deeply saddened to learn of Buster's passing. Reid spent many years " chasing " the seiners to pump for them and this developed into an enduring friendship with Buster and June. Many visits, a few trips and numerous phone calls. Reid will greatly miss talking to Buster about the antics, stories and good times of seining, pumping , weir fishing and all the hard work and joys of accomplishment that went into it. Fishing was their life and love. Buster was always a joy to talk to and he will be missed, but we will hold on to our memories. We want to express our heartfelt sympathies to Mary Anne , Joan Marie , Carolyn and the rest of the family.
Love and prayers to you all during this time of grief and sadness.

Very sorry to hear of Buster's passing. I first met him, back in the early 1980s, at the Barber Shop in the Charlotte Mall. Always enjoyed his friendly personality, and good sense of humour. Although that was almost 40 years ago....he never really changed, over all that time. Very glad that I had the chance to know him. Sending my deepest sympathy to all of you, his family, at this sad time. Hoping your memories, of him, will be a comfort...now and in the future. Take good care...

As we grow older we have to endure the loss of family members and good friends more frequently. I feel lucky to have known Buster for so many years and count him as a true friend. He was one of the last true pioneers of the fishing business and his career spanned many decades.
I fondly recall our many conversations over past fishing exploits and the many changes he experienced from when he started to when he retired …many times over a few beers with Buster chewing on an unlit cigarette.
Buster was so proud of his 3 daughters and wasn’t shy to point out their many accomplishments. He was also very proud of and protective of his grandson Matt and I know for sure that he felt that he became an accomplished fisherman … I’m sure he is proud of all the other grandkids as well.
Buster, although my heart is heavy, I’m sure you are now reunited with your beloved June. A life well lived my friend.
