Obituary of D.G. Wilder
The death of Dr. D.G. (Dick) Wilder occurred at the Passamaquoddy lodge on November 9th 2002. Born in Kingston Ontario, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary Louise (Smith) Wilder. He was a Chief Biologist for lobster research at St. Andrews Biological Station in St. Andrews for many years. Predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth Orchard; brother Stewart Wilder; sister Louise Gomery. Survived by wife, Marian (Tabor) of St. Andrews NB; three daughters, Joan (Brian) Hill of St. Andrews NB; E. Anne (Paul ) Caverhill of Fredericton NB; Mary Louise Smith of Fredricton NB; one son, William (Karen) Wilder of New Minas NS; one sister, Mary Patton of Ottawa Ont; six grandchildren, Jennifer Hill, Susan Hill, Bruce Caverhill, Michael Caverhill, Philip Wilder, Kathleen Wilder, several nieces and nephews. By request a memorial celebration will be held at 60 Adolphus Street, St. Andrews from 2 to 4 Monday afternoon. A private interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations to the Passamaquoddy lodge building fund or to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
