Obituary of Kenneth Edwin Barter

Beloved husband of Margaret Jane (nee MacMillan) died on July 1, 2004. Born in St. Stephen NB, on December 4, 1923, he was a retired detachment commander of 208 detachment, Department of National Defense in Montreal. He was the youngest son of the late Susie and John Barter and was predeceased by brothers Max and Basil. He is survived by sisters Elsie Webber of St. Stephen NB; Rita Hilton, London Ont; Phyllis Cumberland, Fredericton NB; and Edith Chamberlain, Halifax NS, and their families. A Memorial service will be held at MacDonald Select Community Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, at 2:30pm on Wednesday July 7, 2004 with Rev. Boyce Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the St. Stephen Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to Canadian Cancer Society, or to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
