Obituary of Bernadine Maxine Matthews
MATTHEWS, BERNADINE M. - At the Charlotte County Hospital on Saturday, May 7th, 2011, Bernadine Maxine (Henderson) Matthews, wife of the late William Edwin Matthews of Campobello, NB. Born in Wilson's Beach, Campobello she is the daughter of the late Nelson & Hilda (Matthews) Henderson. Bernadine was longtime faithful member of Wilson’s Beach United Baptist Church.She was a well known and loved member of the community. She is survived by her children Steven W. Matthews (Leah) of Black’s Harbour, NB, Diane E. Matthews of Lamoine, Maine, Shelley R. McPherson of Perry, Maine, Karen L. Grant (Bruce) of St. Andrews, NB, Kenneth E. Matthews of Saint John, NB and Corey R. Matthews of Bass Harbour, Maine and her sister Helen Henderson of Campobello, NB, 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews. Bernadine was predeceased by her brother Sherman, and sisters, Lorraine Jackson, and Isabelle Malloch. Resting at Wilson’s Beach United Baptist Church, Campobello, NB from where the service will be held on Tuesday, May 10th, 2011 at 2:00 pm. The interment will follow in the Wilson’s Beach Cemetery Head Harbour Road with a reception to immediately follow in the church hall. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 am until 12:00 noon. Donations to the Wilson’s Beach United Baptist Church or Wilsons’s Beach Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
