Obituary of Marguerite G. Batson
BATSON, MARGUERITE G. – at the Campobello Lodge on Friday, November 19th, 2010; Marguerite G. (Searles) Batson, wife of the late Owen Batson of Welshpool, NB. Born in Campobello she was the daughter of the late Ansel & Cynthia (Tinker) Searles. In her early working years she worked at Keith Jackson’s Store in Wilson’s Beach. Later in life she was employed as a guide with the Roosevelt Park for approxiamately 17 years. She was a longtime member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church. She is survived by her daughter Janice Watters and her companion Phillip Kinney of Welshpool, NB, sister – in – law Ruth Searles and several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation to be held on Monday from 7 – 9 pm at St. Anne’s Anglican Church, Welshpool, NB. The funeral service will be held from the church on Tuesday, November, 23rd, 2010 at 2:00 pm. The interment will take place in the adjoining cemetery followed by a reception in the church hall. Donations to the Campobello Lodge Highway of Hope(New Van Fund) or to the St. Anne’s Church Cemetery Fund would be appreciated by the family.
