Obituary of Lawrence Edgar Doughty

The death of Lawrence Edgar Doughty of St. Andrews, occurred in his 89th year at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen on March 31, 2004. Born in St. Andrews, New Brunswick, he was the son of the late William and Maude (Leighton) Doughty. Survived by his wife, Lillian (Camick) Doughty; daughter, Alice and her husband Gary Groom of St. Andrews; sons, Donald and his wife Shirley of Deer Island and Herbert and his wife Madeline of Saint John; grandchildren, Bill, David, Michael and Kevin Groom, Ken, Bob and Douglas Doughty, and Shelley Wallace; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Resting at the St. Andrews United Baptist Church, King Street, St. Andrews, with visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6:30 to 8:30. The funeral will be held 2 pm on Saturday from the church with Rev. Buck Booker officiating. Interment will take place in the St. Andrews Rural Cemetery in the spring. For those who wish, donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
