Obituary of Muriel Greenlaw
The death of Muriel Lee Greenlaw of Rollingdam, NB, wife of the late Arthur Greenlaw, occurred on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Lawrence Station, NB on April 14, 1923, she was a daughter of the late John and Irene (Lee) Alexander. She will be sadly missed by her daughters amd family members. Prior to her retirement she had worked at the Charlotte County Hospital. Muriel was a member of the Rollingdam United Church, the UCW, the Leever/ Rollingdam WI, the Seniors Clubs in St. Andrews and Milltown. She enjoyed quilting, visiting and preparing meals for family and friends, gardening and flowers, cards (45's) and bingo. She is survived by her four daughters: Wendy Greenlaw (Bruce Wood) of Saint John, NB, Brenda Ryan of Calgary, AB, Diane (Carson) Linton of Rollingdam and Jane Greenlaw-Ward (Terry Ward) of Saint John; special nephew, Mark Alexander of Ontario; four grandchildren: Michael Corning, Veronica Linton, Matthew and Jordan Ryan; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Patricia Earley of Vancouver, BC; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband and a brother, Marvin Alexander. Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks St., St. Stephen, NB (506) 466-3110 with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Humphreys Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in Rollingdam with a reception to follow at the United Church Basement. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or any charity of choice. www.humphreysfh.com
