Obituary of Elsie Gertrude Webber

WEBBER, ELSIE G. - At her residence on Sunday, July 18th, 2010 Elsie Gertrude (Barter) Webber of St. Stephen, NB wife of the late Robert Webber . Born in St. Stephen she is the daughter of the late John & Susie Amelia (Elkington) Barter. Elsie was a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a longtime member of St. James United Church. She is survived by her daughter Anne Webber of St. Stephen, one son David Webber (Fran) of New London, Missouri, U.S.A. two sisters Phyllis Cumberland of Fredericton and Edith Chamberlain of Halifax, NS, 7 grandchildren Margie Duchesneau (Stephen Smith),Bob Duchesneau(Madeline),Bill Duchesneau, Susan Gallant (Andy), Carmen Colford (Mackie), Darren Webber (Jenn), Duane Webber (Michelle), 19 great grandchildren, 2 great great granddaughters. Elsie was predeceased by 3 brothers, Basil, Max and Ken and 1 sister Rita Hilton. Resting at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St Stephen, NB (506 – 466 – 3110) from where the service will be held in the chapel on Thursday,July 22nd,2010 at 2:00 pm. The interment will follow in St Stephen Rural Cemetery followed by a reception in the Humphreys Community Room and Reception Centre. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 pm. A tribute service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star Queen Mary Chapter St.Stephen.
