Obituary of Rachel H. Matthews

MATTHEWS, RACHEL H. - at the Charlotte County Hospital on Thursday, June 11th, 2009; Rachel Hortense (Buchanan) Matthews, wife of Donald R. Matthews Sr. of Wilsons Beach, NB. Born in Second Falls, NB she is the daughter of Phyllis (Kinney) Buchanan and the late Merlin Vail Buchanan. Surviving in addition to her husband Donald are her 2 daughters Sharon Cline and Susan Calder, both of Wilsons Beach, NB, 2 sons, Joseph (Jennifer) of St. George, NB and Donald (Danielle) of Wilsons Beach, NB, her mother Phyllis, 10 brothers and sisters, 18 beloved grandchildren whom Rachel loved very much and was dearly devoted to her entire life. She is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews. Rachel was predeceased by her twin grandsons Skyler and Dawson. Funeral service for Rachel will be held on Sunday, June 14th, 2009; at 3:30 pm at Wilsons Beach Baptist Church. The interment will take place in Head Harbour Cemetery followed by a reception in the church hall.
