Williamson, Linnie M. … Peacefully at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews, NB on Sunday, March 8th, 2009, Linnie M. (Calder) Williamson, wife of the late Capt. Harold L. Hurley and the late Edward Williamson. Born on Campobello Island in 1915, she is the daughter of the late Capt. Herbert and Mabel Calder. Linnie lived her early years on Deer Island raising her family. She taught school on Deer Island and in St. Andrews. Linnie was a longtime resident of St. Andrews and was actively involved with the St. Andrews United Baptist Church and other organizations including the Order of the Eastern Star, where she held the office of Worthy Matron, and was Past Regent of the I.O.D.E. She loved cooking and helping others in times of sickness or distress. Linnie is survived by sons Keith Hurley (Laurie) Dartmouth, NS; Reid Hurley (Jeanine) St. Andrews, NB; daughter Sherry Hull (John) Calgary, Alta; seven grandchildren, Kevin, Leigh and Mark Hurley, Dartmouth, NS; Mary-Anne Hurley… Corbyn, Joanne Stone Fredericton, NB; Jennifer and Jocelyn Hull, Calgary, Alta; nine great grandchildren, sister Gladys Cavanagh, Calais, Maine; two nieces, one nephew. She is predeceased by two brothers, Hartford, Herbert and one sister Evelyn. Resting at St. Andrews United Baptist Church, St. Andrews, NB from where the service will be held on Thursday, March 12th, 2009 at 11:00 am. Rev. Buck Booker officiating. The interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Deer Island, NB. The family will receive visitors at the church on Wednesday evening from 7 … 9 pm. only. A tribute service will be conducted by the Order of the Eastern Star, St. Stephen Branch on Wednesday evening at the church 6:45 pm.
