Obituary of Ida Susan Matthews
The death of Ida Susan Matthews (Wagg), age 84, of St. Stephen Wife of the late Murray (Doc) Matthews, occured at the Charlotte County Hospital on January 19, 2004. Predeceased by her sisters; Clara Spear (Walter); Theresa Joyce (Edward); Glennie Farquharson (Ronald), brother; Archie Wagg (Shirley); Grandson; Jamie Matthews (Dorothy). Survived by her only son Avard L. Matthews (Jackie) of St. Stephen N.B., granddaughters; Lauri Cummings of Fredericton N.B.; Brenda Moore (Gary) of Deer Island N.B.; great grandchildren; Sean and Andrew Matthews of PEI; Josh and Justin Cummings of Fredericton NB; great great granddaughter Meadow Jaimie of PEI; Several nieces and nephews. Ida also enjoyed her extended family since 1975 of grandchildren and great grandchildren; Cindy Marraty of Frankford Ontario and her children Steven; Brandon and Cameron Butler; Margaret Marraty of St. Stephen N.B. and her daughters Sarah Caldwell and Mallory Ross; Lynne (Richard) Matheson and Briana of St. Stephen N.B.; Denver Marraty of Prince Rupert B.C. and his daughters Kristin and Rachel. There will be no visitation by request, following cremation a memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church on School Street St. Stephen on Friday January 23, 2004 at 2pm with Dr. Rev. Stephen Cho officiating. Interment at the Lepreau Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, or to a charity of donor's choice would be appreciated.
