Obituary of E. Lester Matthews

MATTHEWS, E. LESTER - Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Campobello Lodge after a brief illness. Lester is survived by his wife of 66 years Della Roberta Matthews and their four children, Carl of Lubec, Me, Twylla Brown (Herman) of Campobello, Gary (JoAnne) of Campobello, Nadine Burgess of Bar Harbor, Me,, daughter in law Sandra of Lubec, Me, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, sister Jacquline Vriezen of Saint John, NB, one niece and one nephew. Lester was predeceased by brother Weston (Dot), sister Carrie Pearl, brother in law Dick Vriezen and grandson Keith Wayne. The family would like to acknowledge the special care of Extra – Mural Nurse Kathy Anthony R.N. and the always caring staff of Campobello Lodge. A graveside service will be held later in the spring in Head Harbour Cemetery.
