Obituary of Dorothy V. McDowell

McDowell, Dorothy ; It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Dorothy “Dot” McDowell which occurred on Friday, December 28th, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital; Dorothy (McLean) McDowell; wife of the late James McDowell was born in St Stephen, N.B. on December 5th, 1934. She is survived by her 6 children, James McDowell (Michele), Linda Smith, Phillip McDowell (Barb Layton), Michael McDowell, Susan Hovey (Carl) and Barb Tucker (Roger). One brother Philip McLean, 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, two nieces and 6 nephews. By Dot’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th, 2008 at 11:00 am at oak bay Rural Cemetery. Rev. Garth Williams officiating. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the SPCA or charity of ones choice would be appreciated by the family.
