Obituary of Charles W. Madill
Peacefully and surrounded by his family, the death of Charles Madill occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital on October 22, 2003. Born in Saint John, he was the son of the late William Blake and Margaret (Johnston) Madill. Charles was a volunteer firefighter and was a salesman at Thompkins Furniture for over 30 years in St. Andrews NB. Predeceased by his wife Grace (Moore) Madill; sister Margaret. Survived by daughter; Edie (Edward) Brewer of Chamcook NB; three sons; Herb (Bridget) Madill of Montreal PQ; Roger (Mary) Madill of Ottawa ONT; Hugh (Barb) Madill of Chamcook; three sisters; Mrs. Doris Green; Mrs. Gladis McAfee; Mrs. Alice Herrington all of Saint John; brother; Gordon (Nita) Madill of Bridgewater NS; ten grandchildren; Jamie, Billy, Roger Lee, Amy, Melissa, Jaclyn, Luke, Mike Madill, Kristy, Kathy Brewer; several nieces and nephews. Visiting on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the All Saints Anglican Church, St. Andrews. The funeral will be held 2pm on Saturday from the church, with Canon John Matheson and Ven. JFN. Jones officiating. Interment will take place at St. John the Baptist Chapel of Ease Anglican Cemetery, Chamcook. For those who wish, donations to Palliative Care Charlotte County Hospital, Extra Mural Program, or to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
