Obituary of Percy Edwin McFarlane
McFARLANE, PERCY ''PETE'' EDWIN - Pete McFarlane of Bayside NB, passed away peacefully at the Passamaquoddy Lodge with members of his family at his side on Thursday, March 31, 2005. Pete was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, June 19, 1923. He was a son of the late Percy and Annabelle (McLaughlin) McFarlane. Pete served overseas in the Royal Canadian Air Force in World War II. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, St. Andrews Branch. He was a long time employee of the federal Department of Fisheries, retiring in 1983. Pete is predeceased by brothers Howard, John, Jimmy, Albert (Barnie), Dougie and Melvin (Shrud) and sister Mary. Survived by his wife, Joyce (Turner); five sons, Edwin (Barb); Ronnie (Nancy); David (Joyce); Peter (Cathy); Robin (Jackie); three daughters, Sandra Cole (Ritchie); Wendy Barry (Blaine); Jonelle Carter (Mike); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Thelma); Normie (Mary), two sister-in-laws, Verna and Marie as well as several nieces and nephews. Resting at Bye-the-Sea Full Gospel Assembly, St. Andrews, with visiting on Saturday April 2, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral will be held 2pm on Sunday from the church, with Pastor P. Anderson officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the St. Andrews Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
