Obituary of Clinton C. Richardson
RICHARDSON CLINTON C. – At the Charlotte County Hospital, on Wednesday, March 24th , 2021; Clinton Calvin Richardson, husband of Joan (Justason) Richardson, of St. Stephen, NB. Born in Black’s Harbour, NB; he is the son of the late Albert & Naomi (Urquhart) Richardson.
Clinton dedicated his life to the auto body repair industry, working for various local garages, eventually retiring from Downey Ford in St. Stephen. Clinton was very meticulous with his work and was considered one of the best in his field.
Those who knew him saw him as an artisan in his field, like no other. Clinton truly loved the outdoors and was known to thoroughly enjoy gardening, growing primarily vegetables and flowers with a love for rose bushes.
His greatest joy was his grandchildren and great grandchild. Clinton attended Union Street Atlantic Baptist Church for many years.
Surviving in addition to his wife Joan of 64 years, are his 2 sons Philip (Paula) of St. Stephen, NB and Bruce (Heather) of Barter Settlement, NB, 5 grandchildren Jesse Christie (Isabel) of Stanley, NB, Naomi Richardson (Cara) of Halifax, NS, Derian Richardson (Abbey) of St. Stephen, NB, Chance Richardson (friend Brieanna) & Haven Richardson, of Barter Settlement, NB, one great grandson Carson Richardson, one brother Austin (Mary) of Black’s Harbour, NB and one sister Audrey Wilcox (Sheldon) of Pennfield, NB, sister-in-law Kay Richardson of Greentown, Indiana, nieces, nephews and cousins. Clinton was predeceased by his brother Hanley.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home during a time of visitation on Sunday from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm. Due to the current situation surrounding the pandemic, COVID – 19 screening protocols will be in place. Those feeling anxious, vulnerable or unwell are encouraged not to attend. Masks are required while in the funeral home.
The memorial service in celebration of his life will be held on Monday, March 29th, 2021, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Mark Street, St. Stephen, NB, E3L 2B2 ( 506 – 466 - 3110) and will be limited seating for family only, however friends will be invited to view this celebration via a livestream broadcast which will be available through the link below.
