Obituary of Skipper Cline
CLINE SKIPPER - At the Charlotte County Hospital on Friday, February 19th, 2021; Winston Merrill “Skipper” Cline, husband of the late Marion (Matthews) Cline of Campobello, NB. Born in Campobello, he is the son of the late Maurice & Carrie (Lank) Cline.
Skipper was a fisherman most of his life. He owned his own dragging boat , the Captain of “the Miss Cline” from 1963 until he sold it in 1998.
Skipper is survived by his daughter Vicki Seeley and 2 sons Joe Cline and Maurice “Reese” Cine, all of Campobello, NB, grandchildren Heather, Conrad, Beth & Dylan, Wallace and Kora, great grandchildren, Julia, Adam, Declan, Liam, Brandon, Akera, Everleigh, McKayla, Alexa, Asia & Tegan, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Skipper was predeceased by his granddaughter Deidre and grandson Brandon, brothers & sisters Ruth Galley, Ryder Cline, Mert Cline and Cecille Matthews.
The family would like to take this opportunity to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Campobello Lodge for their care and kindness shown to Skipper over the years. “ You were so good to him”.
Due to the current situation around the COVID – 19 pandemic there will be no visitation. A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 30th, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Wilsons’s Beach Cemetery. Rev. Kevin Borthwick officiated. Active pallbearers were Harvey Matthews, Dale Cosman, Raye Brown, Clevie Galley and Dwayne Galley.
