Obituary of Bob Biddle
BIDDLE BOB - At the Charlotte County Hospital on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2020, Robert Walter “Super Bob” Biddle of St. Stephen, NB; husband of June Camp – Biddle. Born in Sackville, NB; he is the son of the late Walter & Dorothy (Fell) Biddle. Bob grew up in Dorchester, NB. He attended NBCC in St. Andrews, NB, to enroll in a refrigeration course. He then became service manager at Sears in Moncton. Bob had a strong desire to work in retail so he worked in travelling sales and became the top salesman in his field for Atlantic Canada. Bob then went on to be the owner & proprietor of Bob’s Home Furnishings Ltd., formerly located on Rothesay Avenue, eventually with 3 locations – Sussex, Saint John & St. Stephen. Bob moved to St. Stephen with his wife June when he retired from the furniture industry.
Bob was a longtime member of the Knights of Pythias, St. Stephen.
He always enjoyed keeping life fun and interesting; never really taking anything too seriously.
Surviving in addition to his wife June of 19 years, is his daughter Melissa Biddle of Quispamsis, NB one brother John (Jessie) of Moncton, NB, one sister Ann Shaw (Bill) of St. Stephen, NB, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was predeceased by his first wife Kathy, sister Dorothy and brother David.
Due to the current situation dictated by the pandemic, there will be no visitation. Cremation will take place. A graveside service in celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Friday June 11th, 2021 at st. Stephen Rural Cemetery, for family & invited guests only under the directive of the Dept of Public Health, the number allowed to attend will be limited.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Charlotte County SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. On line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com
