Obituary of Karen B. Gallant
GALLANT , KAREN B. - Unexpectedly at her residence in Honeydale, NB, on Wednesday, April 8th, 2020; Karen Bernadine Gallant, wife of James Murray Flewelling. Born in Moncton, NB, she is the daughter of Phyllis (Davidson) Gallant of Brockville, ON and the late Gerard “Gerry” Gallant. Karen and James met in Ontario and decided to move to New Brunswick where they spent 21 years together. While residing here in NB, she worked various jobs but also with Ganongs Chocolates. Karen had a strong personal christian faith. Karen and Jim also worked on a project on facebook together called New Brunswick Upon Days Faded; a site they created that has over 24,000 members to date. The link to this site is https://www.facebook.com/groups/1882436545183836/ Surviving in addition to her mother Phyllis and husband James are her two daughters Amanda & Christine Goguen both of Cornwall,ON, siblings,Robert Gallant (Heikie) of Pickering ON,Linda Williams (Pastor Phil) of Woods Harbour NS, Andrea Gallant (Maurice) Tignish P.E.I and Brenda Gallant of Brockville ON, 4 grandchildren, Edward, Neven, Lawranda and Nevaeh, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Karen will be laid to rest in Roselawn Cemetery in Maitland, ON. A service in celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Maitland,ON. In lieu of flowers donations to the Living Memorial Program would be appreciated by the family., which can be done directly by calling Humphreys Funeral Home.
