Toft, Susan Lois
Passed peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital on October 11, 2024. Born in St. Stephen she was the daughter of the Rachel (Anderson) Cleghorn.
Susan is survived by her husband of 44 years Murray Toft, siblings Larry (Bonnie) Cleghorn, Michael ( Carol) Cleghorn, Arthur Cleghorn, Betty Feltmate (Alison Keddy), Connie Sabattus, Janet (Jimmy), Nieces & Nephews; Susie Sabattus , Rachel Sabattus, Cody (Madison) Sabattus, Julie (Kyle) Strong, Jason (Beth) Cleghorn, Tanya (Brian) Glazebrook, Chris (Kim) Cleghorn, Andy (Tara) Cleghorn Jeffery Harris, Tony Cleghorn, Jennifer Ede (Kevin), Great-nephews Parker Harris, Jeffery Cunningham, cousin Judy Cleghorn and Chelsea Higgins.
Predeceased by her sister Diane, brother Stephen and nephew Jeremy Cleghorn.
Susan loved the outdoors, she was very found of her Lavender and loved to watch the hummingbirds when they visited her many feeders. She will be dearly missed; she was the glue the held the family together. She had a heart of gold, she would lend a hand to anyone who asked, those lucky enough to have met her would attest to her generosity and kind soul.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to the entire staff at the Charlotte County Hospital for their care and compassion.
Cremation has taken place, as per Susan’s wishes no visitation or funeral will be held at this time.
