Obituary of Loretta Grey
GREY, LORETTA – Mary Estella Loretta Grey, age 74, of St. George, NB, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Monday, May 13th , 2024. Loretta was born on Grand Manan Island on March 12th , 1950, to the late Hartford and Maria Grey.
Loretta is survived by her devoted guardians Andrew and Karen Seaman and her “family” at the Fundy Bay Manor, her cousin Carol Watkins, as well as several other cousins.
Loretta had wonderful care at the Fundy Bay Manor special care home in St. George. Loretta had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She loved animals, especially cats. She is remembered by many for her singing in church. She enjoyed going to see her friends at the Community Living Center. Loretta loved to make a trip to Grand Manan in the summers until, due to health issues, she could no longer make it.
In addition to parents Loretta was predeceased by her grandparents Harry and Gertrude Grey, Aunt Ophie, and Uncle Wes Taylor and cousin Lawrence Taylor.
Special thanks goes to Andrew and Karen Seaman and family for their devotion and dedication that was shown to Loretta. Thanks also go to doctors and staff of Saint John Regional Hospital for their care and compassion.
At the request of the family cremation has taken place. There will be a graveside service at the North Head Cemetery on Wednesday, May 22nd , 2024 at 3:00 pm with Scott Lewis officiating. A remembrance and celebration will take place in Saint George, NB on Friday, May 24th, 2024, at 1:00pm at the Saint Marks Anglican Church in St. George.
In lieu of flowers donations to the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
