Obituary of Glenna Helene Cline
Cline, Glenna (Matthews)
Passed unexpectedly in her home on Thursday April 18, 2024. Born on Campobello, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Claudia (Porter) Matthews.
Glenna married her late husband Paul Cline in October 1960; they shared 49 years of marriage together before his passing in November of 2009. Alongside her husband Glenna was a member of St. Anne’s Anglican Church in Welshpool where she held the rolls of Vestry Clerk, Tour Guide and Junior Warden. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Glenna spent 26 years as the Librarian at the Campobello Library, a job that allowed her to share her love for reading with so many. Outside of work Glenna loved gardening, she had a great sense of style, beauty and design. The smell of the salt water in the air at Friar’s Bay was one of her many loves in this world.
Glenna is survived by her daughter Cathy Gibbs, son Vernon M., 4 grandchildren, Nicole Hatch, Steven & Channing Cline, Taylor Gibbs and 1 great-grandchild Ryker Hatch.
Pre-deceased in addition to her parents and late husband are siblings, Floyd Matthews, Glenn Mathews, Baxter Mathews, and Patricia Fletcher
By Glenna’s request Cremation has taken place, there will be no visitation however friends are welcome to attend a graveside service in celebration of her life to be held at St. Anne’s Anglican Church Cemetery (76 North Road Welshpool NB) at 2PM on Saturday April 27, 2024.
In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Anne’s Anglican Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
