Obituary of Janet Vlajkov
Vlajkov, Janet Horsburgh (nee Shields)
It is announced, with sadness, that the peaceful passing of Janet (Jenny) Vlajkov took place at the Lincourt Manor in St. Stephen, New Brunswick on Saturday, March 2, 2024. She was 91 years old.
Born in Kinglassie Scotland, Janet is the daughter and only child of the late John and Isabella Shields.
Janet is survived by her beloved sons Philip and Andrew, grandson Derek, granddaughter Natassja and great-granddaughter Lily. In addition to her parents, Janet was predeceased by her late husband Ivan Vlajkov and more recently by her longtime companion, Vernon Acker, who died December 5, 2023 aged 96 years old.
In accordance with Janet’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Life memorial will be held on Monday March 18, 2024, between the hours of 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM at Humphreys Funeral Home.
