In Thanksgiving of Phillip's Life
Reception with the family
Obituary of Phillip C. Kinney
KINNEY PHILLIP C. - The passing of Phillip Carl Kinney, occurred on Friday October 6th, 2023 at his home in Welshpool, Campobello, New Brunswick, surrounded by his wife Janice (Batson) Watters and his two sons Brent (Stephanie), Harlow (Melissa).
Phillip was born in St. Stephen, NB; the son of the late Russell & Beda (Lank) Kinney.
Phillip is also survived by two granddaughters Jenna Morton and Taylor Kinney, several cousins.
Phillip spent many years as a fisherman and to quote him “ He loved every minute of it”. He had to retire from it at an early age due to illness. Phillip’s attention to detail was his passion when it came to vehicles. On weekly trips to St. Stephen, he used to make the rounds at the various auto dealerships, checking out the latest vehicles on display.
Phillip was a people person and made friends wherever he went. He was a loving and caring person, always with a smile, known to many with a gentle spirit and a kind heart; totally devoted to his wife and family.
By Phillips request cremation has taken place. A memorial service in Thanksgiving of Phillip’s life will be held on Thursday, October, 12th, 2023 at 2:00 pm at St. Anne’s Anglican Church, North Road, Welshpool, Campobello, NB. The interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery, followed by a reception in the St. Anne’s Anglican Church Hall.
In lieu of flowers donations to the St. Anne’s Anglican Church Cemetery Fund or to the NB Extra Mural Program – St. Stephen Unit would be appreciated by the family. On - line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com
The family would like to extend many thanks to the Lubec and Campobello Ambulance Services, the Campobello Fire Dept. and friends who helped out in our time of need.
