Defazio, Nicholas “Nick” James Allen
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Nick Defazio at the age of 53 at the home he shared in Waweig with his common law girlfriend Crystal Sewell, his stepson Trey Sewell and father-in-law Bernard Sewell Sr.
Nick’s passion for the art of painting vehicles was handed down from generation to generation. At the age of 15 he started working in the family business with his Dad Ernest Defazio and brothers David, Paul, and Daniel. When the time came Nick stepped up and took over the legacy of Ernie Auto Body. In 2020 Nick joined his brother Dan when D&D Autobody was opened. After Dan’s health issues, Nick did not hesitate to step up. The pride on Nick’s face when a happy customer would leave was priceless, continually making his father proud.
On his off time, you could find Nick doing the things he loved most in life, fishing, cooking, and driving his Kawasaki Voyageur with his brother Dan by his side. Nick enjoyed tormenting all the babies of the family and nothing was more important than his family and he proved that every day.
He is survived by his son Jamie Gullison (Amanda) of Durham NB, daughters, Nicole Lavoie (Paco) of St. Stephen NB, Alicia Defazio of St. Stephen N-B, and special niece Kerry Lynn Defazio, best friend Deegan Reicker (Little Deegster you will always have a special place in Uncs heart), Jamiee and his precious grand-babies Raina, Declan, Collin, and Nora. These babies were his pride and joy. Nick’s face lit up like you turned on a light switch when he talked about them or when he heard one of the say “Puppa”. There was nobody like Puppa.”
Nick is also survived by brothers David Defazio, Paul Defazio (Heather), Daniel (Donita), Royden (Bobby) sister Patty Keenan (Joey), Parents-in-law Glen and Josephine Gullison , and several brothers and sister-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his wife Stacey Defazio, father Ernest Defazio and mother Anna and sister Kim Defazio.
