Obituary of Lyda Faye McLeese
McLeese, Lyda Faye
Surrounded by her loving family, Lyda Faye McLeese passed away at the Passamaquody Lodge in St. Andrews NB on August 6, 2023, at the age of 83. Born on July 23, 1940 in Back Bay NB, she was the daughter of the late Hill and Elaine Hooper.
Lyda will be greatly missed by her daughters Cindy Marshall (Bruce) of Lynnfield NB, Shona McCullough (Mike) of Elmsville NB, special grandsons Ryan and Mitchell and her unmet great-grandchild. She will also be missed by her two special children, Amanda, and Bradley, that she so lovingly cared for.
She is survived by her sisters Anna Tucker, Karen Carter, Lorena Hanley, Loma Hanley, Susan French, Ruby Hooper, Mona Hooper and several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Clifton, her son Derek, sister Sheila Thurber and brother Glendon Hooper.
The Family would like to thank the entire staff of the Pasamaquoddy Lodge for their excellent care of our mother, your kindness will never be forgotten. A special thank you to her cousin and special friend Cynthia Leavitt.
Cremation has taken place, the family invites you to attend a graveside memorial 2PM on Thursday August 10, 2023, at the St. George Rural Cemetery (74 Carleton St. Ext, St. George, NB). Immediately following the graveside service friends and family are invited to attend a time of light refreshments and fellowship at the Bocabec United Church (5725 Route 127 Bocabec NB).
