Obituary of Leota S. Brown
BROWN LEOTA S.- Peacefully at Campobello Lodge, on Thursday, March, 2nd, 2023; Leota Sadie (Lomax) Brown, at the age of 91 years; wife of the late Guy Whitney Brown Jr. of Wilson’s Beach, NB. Born in Little Lepreau, NB on August 27th, 1931; she is the daughter of the late Hazen & Bertha (Anthony) Lomax.
Leota & Guy were married on June 6th, 1952. Leota worked along side her husband with the family fishing business.
Survived by her 5 children, Burrell Brown (Debbie) , Elaine Eaton, Tammy (William) Corn, Laurel (Donald) Matheson all of Campobello, and Gail (Jim) Roberts of East Machias, ME, 7 grandchildren, Tracy (Darren) Hardy, Darren (Amanda) Brown, Heather Cline, George Eaton, Jeffrey (Nicola) Matheson, Christa (Denise) Matheson, Hunter Roberts, 10 great grandchildren, Khalin (Simone), Kelsi (Kelton), Kailey, Sarah, Ben, Cali, Brody, Wyatt, Julia and Gabriel, 2 great great grandchildren Ryker & Keenan and a sister Joyce Humphrey of Saint John, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Leota was predeceased by her husband Guy, 6 brothers Theodore, Norman, Cecil, Hazen, Loren, Basil and a sister Bernice Martin.
The funeral service in celebration of Leota’s life will be held on Monday, March 6th, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Campobello Beacon of Hope Church in Welshpool, Campobello, NB. Pastor Ed Sealy officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the church. The interment will take place later in the spring at Wilson's Beach Community Cemetery.
