Obituary of Sandra Ann Libby
LIBBY SANDRA A. – At the Charlotte County Hospital, on Saturday, January 7th, 2023; Sandra Ann “Tiny” Libby of St. Stephen, NB. Born in Calais, ME, U.S.A; she is the daughter of the late Lawrence & Gertrude (White) Barnard. Tiny worked for about 20 years with the Star Kist plant in Bayside, NB, then went on to work with Ganongs for the next 20 years. Always an extremely hard worker but even after retiring from Ganongs she went on to fish herring with her life long partner Marvin Mitchell. She so thoroughly enjoyed being out on the water with Marvin working right along side of him. She was no stranger to hard work.
Surviving in addition to her partner Marvin Mitchell, are her children Sharon Savage (Andrew) of Campobello, NB, Crystal Kent (Douglas) of Scotch Ridge, NB, Sherry “Angel” Casey ( Murdock Harmon) of St. Stephen, NB, Timothy James Libby (Jennifer) of Bayside, NB, step children Patrick Mitchell and Francis Mitchell (April) all of Campobelllo, NB, siblings Gary Barnard(Deborah) of Little Ridge, NB, Betty Arsenault of St. Stephen, NB and Sharon Dotten of Calais, ME, U.S.A., 19 grandchildren Jocelyn Curran, Matthew Libby, Miranda Smith, Jon Smith, Justin & Adam Libby, Amber Leavitt, Megan Roy, Sean Kent, Gary Roberts, Nicole Duchesneau, Alisha Roberts, Jeremy Roberts, Allison Bell, Kristen Mitchell, Richard Mitchell, Jack & Belle Mitchell, 31 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins
Tiny was predeceased by 2 brothers Maurice & Richard and one sister Marilyn Simmons.
By Tiny’s request there will be no visitation, however friends are welcomed to attend a memorial service in celebration of her life on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 at 2:00 pm at By the Sea Pentecostal Church in St. Andrews, NB. A reception will immediately follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. On line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com.
