Obituary of Lloyd E. Richardson
RICHARDSON LLOYD E. – Peacefully at his residence with his family by his side, on Saturday, September 17th, 2022; Lloyd Edgar Richardson of Oak Bay, NB. Born in St. Stephen, NB; he is the son of the late Herbert & Eileen Mary (Bailey) Richardson.
Lloyd worked for over 40 years for Flakeboard Co. Ltd . Before that he was very proud to have held a class 1 drivers license driving heavy trucks and heavy equipment. He was an avid outdoorsman, but most of all spent his time enjoying and socializing with family & friends.
Lloyd could also be seen just about anywhere driving around town with his faithful furry friend Bella.
Lloyd was a longtime member of Union Street Atlantic Baptist Church.
Lloyd is survived by his daughter Kimberly Richardson of Saint John, NB, 2 sons Kenny (Susan) and Jeff (Lisa), all of St. Stephen, NB, 7 grandchildren Jenna, Krystyn, Kathryn, Jimmy, Candace, Caleb & Christopher, 9 great grandchildren, 3 brothers David of Milltown, NB, Billy (Chrissy) of Pomeroy Ridge, NB, John (Karen) of Oak Bay, NB, sister in law Mary several cousins, nieces and nephews and his special friend Arlene.
Lloyd was predeceased by his wife Betty of 53 years and brothers Terry, Glen, sister in law Brenda, brother in law Bob Haley (Sheila)
By Lloyd’s request cremation will take place. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Wednesday from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB, E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110)
The funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Thursday , September 22nd, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Union Street Atlantic Baptist Church. A reception will immediately follow in the church hall followed by the interment at St. Stephen Rural Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers; donations to We Got Your Back ( a program to feed hungry school children ) the church building fund or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. On line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com
