Dear Rick and family; This very sad news just reached us in Ottawa today. Rory and I are very sorry for your loss. We knew Deb as a young girl growing up in New Liskeard. She also dated Rory’s brother for some time and we wondered if that's why Bruce never married....he couldn't love anyone else. Years ago Debbie andvI met curlingbin Sudbury and it was just like old times. Such a great gal. May she rest in peace.

One of the brightest lights in all the lives of those who knew Deborah has been extinguished far too soon.
I had the good fortune to hire Deborah as a teacher in the mid-seventies. She was such a solid member of our teaching team, always putting "her" children first and enthusiastically embracing any hare-brained idea her Principal came up with like a "Jogging Club" for Primary students and meeting a friend of ours from St.Andrews, called Rick. The Jogging and Rick became lifelong habits !
They were our life-long friends and we shared so many enjoyable adventures gourmet club, land development, travel etc
Deborah took her revenge on me by inviting us to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary by biking around Holland. Parts of my anatomy still cringe at the traumatic memories of the bike seat! But otherwise as usual we had a blast & great adventures !
Deborah embraced life fearlessly and was so brave confronting its end as her bright light was stolen from our skies!
We will miss her and send our love to Rick!

Dear Rick, I feel so grateful to have had Deborah as part of my life. Deborah was always the same no matter how long it had been or where we turned up together. She was real. She was always interested, enthusiastic and positive. She always made me feel important. She meant so much to our family. I keep trying to remember and hold onto the wisdom, love and hilarity of Deborah. Thinking of you every day, Deborah. Rick, we are always here for you. We love you. The Harris family.

Rick and families, our sincere sympathies with Debra’s passing. Although we didn’t see much of her, especially the last few years, she will be remembered as always so pleasant and fun to be around. And enjoyed her laughs at the Heather Curling Club and enjoyed both of your company there Rick. She was such a caring person and her smile infectious. Gone way too soon. Again, so sorry for your loss.

Dear Rick, family and friends,
We are very sorry for the loss of your beautiful Deborah. We have such fond memories of wonderful times at your beautiful home. You always made us feel so welcome when we would visit Dave and Carol. Sitting on your lovely deck, surrounded by all the beautiful flowers and seeing the tide come in, were some of the highlights of our visits to St. Andrews. We also enjoyed when you came to visit us in Lincoln, NH. They are wonderful memories. We will keep you in our hearts and pray for you to get through this difficult time. God Bless, Loretta and Bill Deppe.
