Ardeth lived life with passion, joy and compassion. She was interested in people and enjoyed getting to know others. She was a great cook and a genial hostess. There was always a welcome at 235 Queen Street for family, friends and strangers alike. Ardeth and Jeff hosted many gatherings in their home over the years: all manner of celebrations with family and friends, birthdays, holidays, their Annual Christmas Carol Singsongs.
Ardeth was employed for several years at Sea Captain’s Loft in St, Andrews. She was also employed as the Secretary-Treasurer for the T.R. Meighen Family Foundation. She owned and operated the gift and flower shop “Hollyhock & Vine” in St. Andrews. As long as her health allowed Ardeth was interested and involved in many community projects. Ardeth loved nature, flowers, music, reading, writing poetry and tuning in to Netflix/Britbox for movies and mysteries.
