My sincere sympathy goes out to Nancy's family and friends, and to all those who enjoyed a casual chat in the post office or appreciated her admiration of their dog. I loved Nancy's sense of fun and her total lack of pretention. Our friendship began when her father and Pat were married, and Nancy has been part of many family celebrations, and hilarious road trips since. Throughout her illness, I've marveled at the devotion of Pat and Susan, and at the community's support of Nancy with so many acts of kindness. Nancy was the epitome of quiet courage, and maintained her concern for others, and her sense of humour, until the end. I will miss you, Nancy,
