Obituary of Daniel C. Hood

HOOD DANIEL CHARLES  - At the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Wednesday June 1, 2022; passed from this life with his devoted friend of 27 years Wayne McLaughlin by his side.

     Born in New Market, ON; on June 4, 1955, the son of  Frederick and Bernice (Graves) Hood.

  Predeceased by parents, sister Gloria, brother Donald. Survived by daughter Stephanie, sisters Jean, Heather, Betty; brothers  Larry, Brian, Bruce, John, 15 nieces, and nephews, 25 great nieces and nephews.

     His  New Brunswick family of 26 years,  - Wayne McLaughlin, Jean Dines McLaughlin (deceased), Gloria (McLaughlin) Barter and family and very special friend Ron Rees.

        Dan worked  all of his life at sod farms, horse farms, labour  and landscaping. From his youth his greatest love was riding and caring for horses. His other love was his dogs over the years (Buddy and Maggie ) survive and will greatly miss him.

      Dan is now free from all pain and as per his wishes cremation has taken place. He wanted no service or visitation and interment will be at Moore’s Mills at a later date. Celebration of life will be held at a later date.

                               Rest in peace – You were Loved by many and will be missed!
