Tara, Patrick, Cullen and Oakley - I write to express to the family the sincere condolences of the Patricia’s on the passing of Stephen McGrath. He had many friends and was a respected soldier. The Regiment remembers Stephen's service, and your family I am sure are proud of that service. His name will be read in this year’s list of the lost when we read that out on November 11th, 2022 in the Sacred Space in Beechwood, the National Military Cemetery, Ottawa. His name will also be listed in the 2022 edition of the Patrician’s Last Post section, published in March 2023. Thank you for obviously supporting Steve throughout his service and later. I am so sorry for your loss Tara. I have been saying for years I was going to reach out and see how Steve was making out. I regret not doing this so much now. He was a good man and had a huge influence on my career in the Canadian Armed Forces. I can truly say I have never forgotten him and I don’t think I ever will. He is the kind of person that leaves such an impact on you that you can’t go long without thinking about him.

Tara, Heart broken to hear of Steve’s passing, he was a great guy taken to soon. We had a lot of great times together, looking at the photos feels like it was just yesterday!
