It’s with heartfelt sorrow the family of Lois Irene Anning announces her peaceful passing at home on Thursday March 24, 2022. She was the wife of the late William Anning and adored mother of Nancy Hannan (Len) of St. Andrews, Dorothy Corning (Ron) of Fredericton, Patricia Reynolds (late Doug) of St. Stephen and the late Laurie Palmer (Jan) of Quispamsis. Cherished grandmother of Chris Hannan (Joanne), Brad Hannan, Greg Hannan ( Melissa Ryan), Victoria Corning (Keltie Keir), Derek Corning (Jodi Hay), Jocelyn MacTavish (Jeff), Sarah Reynolds (Robert Hanlon), Brenden Reynolds, Adam Palmer (Natasha) and Tracy Bordage (Brian).Beloved great grandmother of Noah, Jaydn, Lydia, Paige, Ashton, Harper, Rome, Madelyn, Garrison, Katelyn, Olivia, Dean, Neil, Emmett and Waylon. Predeceased by her parents James McAllister and Laura Spinney, her husband William, her sister Dorothy Grant, her daughter Laurie Palmer and son in law Doug Reynolds. Born in Milltown N.B. on June 1, 1932 Lois worked for NBLC for many years in St Andrews. She kept busy volunteering with many organizations including the Charlotte County Hospital Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels, the Legion and was a Brownie leader with the Girl Guides of Canada. Lois loved to travel, especially with good friends Lila and Verna, play bingo and attend live music but what she cherished most was family gatherings at home and the Ponderosa with her grandkids and great grandkids. The family wishes to thank the staff from the dialysis unit at the Charlotte County Hospital and all the home care workers that made it possible for her to spend her last years at home. A celebration of life will take place at Chapel of Ease of St. John the Baptist Cemetery (4690-4706 NB-127, Chamcook, NB E5B 2Z4) on Saturday June 11, 2022 at 11AM .On line condolences to the family and for those who wish, donations towards the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the IWK foundation can be made at www.humphreysfh.com.
