John and I are first cousins, when my father could not drive me to my first major ski race when I was 13, John stepped up to the plate, this was in Lac Beauport leaving from Grand’ mère in a blinding snow storm, he spent the weekend with me and drove me back, he had to turn around to head to Bishops university, this may have been a precursor to his retirement project of animating group tours, he loved to drive! My wife, remembers, on one of his visits in the eastern townships, he had everyone in stitches recounting many of his adventures from the bus tours!
