Obituary of Ronald C. Brown
Ronald Calvin Brown went home to be with the Lord on March 8th, 2022, surrounded by family in his Campobello home. Born January 18th, 1932, on Campobello Island, NB, he was the son of the late Calvin and Kathleen (Wentworth) Brown.
Ronald was born and raised on Campobello Island, and was well known and loved by his community. He spent many years working in the fish factory at Jackson’s Wharf and was known for his talent in splitting fish. He dedicated his life to the church and served on many of the church boards for a number of years. He spent more than 30 years serving as a Customs and Border Patrol Officer until he retired in 1993. In retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Barbara Brown (Matthews); sister Shirley Mitchell (Brown); sons Gordon and wife Terry; John and wife Kathy, Brian and wife Mary; Robert and wife Stacy; Dylan; and his only daughter Karen Marie; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents Calvin and Kathleen Brown, and brother-in-law Robert Mitchell.

The family received friends during a time of visitation on Monday, March 14th at the Wilson’s Beach United Baptist Church. A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, March 15th from the church.
A graveside service for Ron that was origionally scheduled for Saturday, April 30th, has been rescheduled due to inclement weather coming and has been rescheduled to Saturday, May 14th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Wilsons`Beach Community Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Ronald may be made to the Wilson’s Beach United Baptist Church.
