Obituary of Carroll C. Daley
DALEY CARROLL C. – At the Charlotte County Hospital on Sunday, November 14th, 2021; Carroll Clyde Daley, husband of Freda (McKeeman) Daley of Old Ridge, NB. Born in Black’s Harbour, NB, he is the son of the late Thomas & Louise (Barry) Daley.
Carroll worked all of his life out on the water fishing lobster. He then worked for a few years with Connors as well as the former Colwell Mill in Moore’s Mills, NB.
Surviving in addition to his wife Freda of 58 years, are his 2 daughters Katherine Hawthorne (Leslie) of St. Stephen, NB, Carol Ann Guitard (Mark) of Little Ridge, NB, and son Darrell (Diane) of Guelph, ON, 8 grandchildren Billy Joe, Amanda, Michael, Darren, Donny, Kyle, Emily and Logan, several great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, several, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carroll was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his son Donald, numerous siblings, Grace Leslie, Jake Seeley, Ned Seeley, Inez Stuart, Alice Fiander, Mildred Justason, Bernice Stewart, Elizabeth Hooper, Helen MacDonald, Ernest Daley, James Daley and twin brother Darrell Daley.
By Carroll’s request, cremation will take place. Friends are welcome to attend a graveside service on Sunday, November 21st, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the new Moore’s Mills Cemetery.
Due to circumstances surrounding the pandemic, and under the order of the Dept. of Public Health. Presceening protocols will be in place. Masks will be mandatory. Those feeling vulnerable, anxious or unwell are asked not to attend.

The family would like to take this opportunity to extend a special thank you to Dr. Karim Janmohammed, nurses and staff of Charlotte County Hospital, nurses and staff of NB Extra Mural St Stephen Unit and to his girls at Home Support, who affectionately knew him as their “Candy Man” for the care & kindness shown to Carroll and his family during this troublesome time.
