Obituary of Emilie Rose Frigault
Obituary of Emilie (Emily) Rose Frigault Is there anything more gratifying than knowing that someone you love was so greatly loved by others? Happily, we did not have to wait until death, as so many do, to know that Emily Rose Frigault (nee Arseneau) had the respect and love of not only her family, but the people of the community in which she lived. Born in Acadieville, NB on February 14, 1925, Emily passed away peacefully at home in St. Stephen, NB in the evening of September 26, 2016 after a long detour into Alzheimer's during the later years of her life. Married for 65 years to, and survived by, Donald Joseph Frigault, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernadette Arseneau of Acadieville, NB. To continue to celebrate her life she leaves her children Roger (Gale) of Paris, Ontario; Lynn and Gisele of Bristol, Connecticut; Fred (Helen) of Fredericton, NB; Steven (Giselle) and Greta of St. Stephen, NB and “the baby”, Denise of Deer Island, NB. To continue to carry on her legacy of know just when to laugh, hug, and love she leaves grandchildren and great grandchildren who are heart-broken at her passing but who have a wealth of memories and life lessons taught to them by their beloved Gram/Grammy/Nana/Lola. Her strength and determination helped us find our way as we floundered and sought safe harbor while Alzheimer's took so much of her physical strength and memories. Even to the end, her spirit shone brightly. Sassy, feisty, beautiful Emilie Rose will rest at Humphrey's Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506-466-3110) where we will share a private time with family only from 6-7 pm and then receive friends during a time of visitation on Thursday, September 29, from 7-9pm. A service celebrating her life will take place at the chapel located at Humphrey's Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016. There will be no internment at this time; Mom is to be cremated and her ashes will be joined with Dad's upon his death. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or your local food bank would be appreciated by the family. On-line condolences to the family or donations can be made at www.humphreysfh.com. Our family will be eternally grateful for the services provided by Home Support, Inc. in helping us keep our mother in her home. In particular, we are grateful to the late Beverly Nelson who was our very first home support angel and to our current angels-Mandy, Carol Ann, Krista, Katie, Christina, Pam and Audrey. There were many angels over the years...it truly takes a village. We are thankful for the Extra-mural program in providing us with the care and training that allowed us to look after mom without any worry that we were giving anything but the best care possible. We were also blessed to have the help and guidance of Dr. Lalik.
