Obituary of Darrell Lee Chute
CHUTE DARRELL L. – Darrell Chute, 87, passed away at his home on Saturday, June 20th, 2015, less than 200 feet from where he was born on Campobello Island. He was the youngest son of Hiram G. & Maria (Sirles). Darrell worked for many years in his own business as the owner & proprietor of Island Plumbing & Heating. He was a longtime member of North Road Baptist Church. Darrell is survived by his two daughters Maureen Dean (Albert) of Oak Bay, NB, and Christina Wade of Fort Lauderdale, FL, and by a step - daughter, Terri (Mitchell) Breton(Jason) of Turner, ME. He had several grandchildren and one great grandson. Darrell was predeceased by his Marion (Newman), his wife of 55 years, by wife Eva (Fitzsimmons/Mitchell), and a special friend, Geraldine Westrup; also by all of his six siblings Alvin Chute, Lawrence Chute, Ronald Chute, Hiram R. Chute Pearl Phinney, and Louise Kershaw. Visiting hours at North Road Baptist on Wednesday June 24th from 7 – 9 pm. The funeral will be held at the church on Thursday, June 25th, at 2:00 pm with pastors Dana Mersereau and Garnett Chute officiating. Darrell will be interred at the North Road Cemetery on Campobello on Thursday, June 25th, 2015. Memorial gifts to the North Road Baptist Church or to the Sandy Cove Bible Camp, 500 Sandy Cove Lane, Dumfries, NB, E6G 1S0 would be appreciated by the family.
