Obituary of Gerald Colin McKay
McKay Gerald - At Lincourt Manor Nursing Home in St. Stephen, NB on Friday, June 12th, 2015; Gerald Colin McKay, husband of the late Rosamond “Rose” Louise ( Haines) McKay of Pennfield, NB. Born in Brownsville Jct,Maine; he was the son of the late Gerald & Hazel McKay. Colin was a railway man all of his life, working with CPR until his retirement. He is survived by numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins, but most especially his cousin Lester McKay and his wife Millie of Pennfield, NB, Paul & Corey McKay also of Pennfield, NB, nephew Jason of Saint John, NB, Krista & Jimmy Peters of St Stephen, NB, Claire LeBlanc & Sylvain Levesque of Pennfield, NB, his life long friends Jim Gillespie and Phil Farren. Colin was predeceased by his love Rose, brother Charles and his adopted brother Ronald McKay Stewart. Resting at Christ Church Anglican Church in Pennfield, NB from where the service will be held on Monday, June 15th, 2015 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Canon Keith Osborne officiating. The interment will immediately follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church during a time of visitation on Monday from 12:30 pm until service time. Donations to the Romero House Soup Kitchen in Saint John or to the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
