Obituary of Verna Jeffrey

JEFFREY, Verna - At the Passamaquoddy Lodge, in St. Andrews, NB. on Monday, July 4th, 2016, Verna Eleanor (MacTavish) Jeffrey. Born in Newcastle, NB. She is the daughter of the late Will and Martha (Matthews) MacTavish. Verna had strong Christian faith and loved the Lord. Verna worked at Creaghan’s Department Store for 25 years before retirement. In her later years she enjoyed painting and was able to take inspiration from her grandson Adam. She enjoyed participating painting in the art classes at Passamaquoddy Lodge. She loved her family and is survived by her son Don (Pamela) of St. Andrews, NB, grandchildren Adam, Sarah and David, great grandson, Elijah, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Don and Pamela would like to thank the staff at Passamaquoddy Lodge for their care and kindness shown to Verna the past three years. A private graveside service will be held at St. Andrews Rural Cemetery on cemetery road with Archdeacon John Matheson officiating.
