Obituary of Wade Simmonds
SIMMONDS WADE - Unexpectedly at his residence in St. Andrews, NB, on Monday, November 24th, 2014; husband of the late Carol Ann (Libby) Simmonds. Wade was born in Middleton, NS. He came to St. Andrews, in 1967 to attend the local college to enroll in the carpentry program, married his beloved wife Carol Ann soon after. He then went on to volunteer with the Sir James Dunn Fire Company, with this year of 2014 marking 30 years of service, as well as serving as a 30 year volunteer with the 1st St. Andrews Boy Scouts. He worked with the Town of St. Andrews for 30 years. Wade was a longtime member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter - Day Saints in St Stephen, NB for many years, serving in many different capacities, most recently as their Clerk and their Facility Supervisor. Wade is survived by his 2 sons Kevin of St. Andrews, NB and Todd of St. Johns Nfld. Resting at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter - Day Saints, 200 Union Street, St Stephen, NB from where the family will receive friends during a time of visitation on Friday from 7 – 9 only. The funeral service will be held from the church on Saturday, November 29th, 2014 at 2:00 pm. The interment will follow in St Stephen Rural Cemetery, followed by a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations to the Side by Side SUV Fund for the St. Andrews Fire Dept, or the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
