Obituary of Reginald Clark Sharkey
SHARKEY REGINALD C. Peacefully in Chamcook,NB on Tuesday, April 29th,2014;Reginald Clark Sharkey, husband of the late Isabelle(Cameron)Sharkey. Born in St.Stephen, NB he is the son of the late Edward & Beatrice(Cronk)Sharkey. Reg is survived by his sister Dawn Ingevrigsten of Texas, stepdaughter Sandra Beaumaster of St. Andrews, NB, nephew Tim Sharkey (Kim) of Chamcook, NB, step grandsons Blaine Beaumaster(Anne) of Nfld, Brent Beaumaster (Christine) of BC, Tina Beaumaster of St. Andrews, NB, step great grandchildren,niece,nephews,great nieces and great nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Isabelle, son Jimmy,two sisters, Norma & Lona,one brother Edward, and a half sister Mary Dougherty. Reg worked for Conley Lobster & also as a night supervisor for Starkist Tuna for many years.. He was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Passamaquoddy Branch # 8 St. Andrews for over 40 years, and was a longtime member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. Reg had a passion for sports as an avid golfer and hockey player. He was a longtime member of the Heather Curling Club, in St. Andrews. The family will receive friends at St. Andrews Catholic Church, King St, St. Andrews during a time of visitation on Sunday 7 – 9 pm only. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday,May 5th,2014 at 11:00 am Rev. Fr. Paul Doucet as Celebrant. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion will conduct a tribute service immediately following the mass. Honorary pallbearers will be Nathanael Sharkey, Patrick Sharkey, Gregory Beaumaster, Adam Beaumaster, Mark Ingevrigsten and Karen Trent. A reception will immediately follow the mass to be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Passamaquoddy Branch # 8 St. Andrews, followed by the interment at St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the NB Extra Mural Hospital Foundation, St Stephen & St. George Units would be appreciated by the family.
