Obituary of Elden Walter Merchant
MERCHANT ELDEN W.. Unexpectedly at the Charlotte County Hospital on Wednesday August 28th, 2013 Elden Walter Merchant, husband of Sylvia (James) Merchant of Bocabec, NB. Born in Chamcook, NB, he is the son of the late Hazen & Marjorie (Crooks) Merchant. Surviving in addition to his wife Sylvia re his daughters, Connie McCullough (Dean) of Kerrs Ridge, NB, Amber Leavitt (Keith) and Karen Sturgeon (Gary) all of Old Ridge, NB,sisters,Gertrude Stoddard(Lewis) and Della Upham(Myron),all of Old Rodge, NB, Vickie Vandriest (Hank) of Fredericton,NB,grandchildren,Shelley & Doug Moore,Ricky & Karyn Leavitt,Daniel & Donna Leavitt, Michael Merchant & Ashely Ross,great grandchildren Branden Moore,Devan Moore & Kaelyn Merchant. Elden was predeceased by brother Raymond & sister Elizabeth Holcomb. By Elden’s request cremation will take place, followed by a memorial service to be held at St. George Seventh Day Adventist Church on Friday, August 30th, 2013 at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow in the church hall. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care & direction of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110) In lieu of flowers donations to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
