Obituary of Marilyn J. Groom
GROOM MARILYN J . - Unexpectedly at her residence in Winchester, Kentucky USA on Thursday,January 17th,2013; Marilyn Joanne Groom. Born in St Stephen ,NB she is the daughter of May Muir and the late Marshall Groom. Surviving in addition to her companion Al Meives,of Winchester, Kentucky, are her mother May Muir of St Stephen, her son Michael Archer, 2 daughters Heather Kelly(Jeremy) and Julie Archer all of St Stephen,4 sisters Cheryl Dempsey (Jim) of St Stephen, Roxanne MacAllister (David) of Quispamsis, NB, Lorraine Hallowell(Dale)of St Stephen and Nancy Gillespie(Herb) of Lake Utopia,2 grandchildren Connor Archer and Bayleigh Hogge, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Marilyn was predeceased her father Marshall Groom. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at Kirk McColl United Church in St. Stephen,NB, on Thursday, January 24th, 2013 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Dr. Mark Hatfield officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the church hall. The family will receive friends at the funeral home during a time of visitation on Thursday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.In lieu of flowers donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
