Obituary of Sarah Elizabeth Barry
BARRY SARAH E. – At the Charlotte County Hospital on Wednesday, January 9th, 2013; of St Stephen,NB. Born in Bocabec,NB she is the daughter of the late Wesley & Stella(Johnson)Thompson. For many years she worked at the Conley’s Lobster Factory,the Clam Factory in Chamcook and for a few years as a waitress at the Wandlyn Motor Inn. Sarah is survived by her daughter Susan Markey(David Oldfield) of Fergus,Ontario, son Calvin Markey of Maxwell Crossing, NB, son Jeffrey Allen Markey of Alberta,4 grandchildren Jennifer, Jacob, Josh, Shelby, several great grandchildren, 2 brothers George Thompson of Bocabec, NB and Blair Thompson (Frances)of Bayside,NB,several nieces,nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by 2 children Stephen & Wanda,2 sisters Irene & Frances and 2 brothers Lorne & Maurice. By Sarah’s wish she has been cremated. The family will receive friends during a time of visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 – 3 pm. The memorial service in celebration of her life will be on Sunday January 13th, 2013 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Humphreys Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street St Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506 – 466 – 3110) In lieu of flowers donations to the Kidney Foundation, NB Heart & Stroke Foundation NB Ling Association or Charlotte County SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
